Illinois PaCE: Postsecondary and
Career Expectations
The Illinois PaCE Framework was developed with extensive input gathered from stakeholders and subject matter experts to provide guidance to students, families, and educators on what types of experiences and information a student should have in order to make the most informed decisions about college and career planning, beginning in 8th grade and continuing through high school. The framework was recently extended by statute to begin in 6th grade, with an updated framework required from the State’s educational agencies by no later than July 1st, 2023. The framework is organized around three key areas:
Career Exploration and Development
Postsecondary Education Exploration, Preparation, and Selection
Financial Aid and Literacy

Students have learning materials that have been provided by teachers for review and enrichment that have been sent in packets or electronically.

Westville Community Unit School District #2 is excited to announce the date for our annual Senior Citizen Christmas Dinner. This free event will take place on December 10, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at the Westville High School’s old gymnasium. Seniors are invited to come out and participate in the activities, visit with friends and neighbors, as well as enjoy the holiday meal and music hosted by Westville School District staff and students. You do not need to make a reservation, just come and enjoy a great meal and fun event!
There will be no school Wednesday, November 27th, Thursday, November 28th, or Friday, November 29th for Thanksgiving Break. We wish you all a great Thanksgiving!

On October 23rd and October 24th there will be Parent/Teacher Conferences from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in all three buildings. There will also be early dismissal on the the 23rd and 24th. Westville High School and Westville Junior High School will dismiss at 1:47pm each day. Judith Giacoma Elementary will dismiss at 2:20pm each day. There is no school on Friday, October 25th.

Westville faculty and staff trained with local law enforcement agencies on safety and emergency procedures. Thank you to the Westville Police Department and the Vermilion County Sheriff's department for assisting with the training, the scenarios, and all that is done each day to keep our schools and community secure. #It'saSafeDaytobeaTiger
Thank you! - to all the Vermilion County agencies and partnerships that allowed our high school students to hear a powerful message of resilience and hope from guest speaker Nathan Harmon. WHS hosted a south county presentation for Georgetown Ridge-Farm, Oakwood, Salt Fork, and Westville students. The students from all schools were engaged and gracious for this large successful assembly.
