Westville School District Names New Assistant Elementary School Principal
Westville School District is excited to announce the selection of a new elementary school assistant principal, Mrs. Britany Edwards for the 2023-24 school year.
Mr. Ford is pleased to welcome Mrs. Edwards to the administrative team and stated, “I’ve worked with Mrs. Edwards for many years and can vouch for her leadership abilities. Mrs. Edwards has strong relationships with our students, families, and staff members. She will be a great asset to our team!”
A veteran special education teacher at Judith Giacoma Elementary, Mrs. Edwards has extensive experience working with special education teams, school improvement planning, addressing student issues and challenges, and has a strong dedication to working with students, families, and staff to create a positive learning environment. Mrs. Edwards has been involved with many school and district committees and is recognized as someone who is always willing to be involved with school and community activities.
Mrs. Edwards take this position with a degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from Eastern Illinois University. She has worked for Westville School District for many years and brings strong leadership qualities to the position. Mrs. Edwards had this to say about her new appointment, “I am very excited about my new role. I know I have big shoes to fill, but I’m up for the challenge!”
