The Westville Tigers Baseball Team brilliantly executed a Regional Championship vs Unity. It was the first regional championship for baseball in 30 years. Cade Schaumburg was locked in as he threw a complete game while only allowing 2 runs to score. This effort earns him the Defensive Player of the Game. Cameron Steinbaugh had an excellent day at the plate going 3 for 4 with a run scored and 3 RBIs. This effort earned him the Offensive Player of the Game. I am very proud of the Westville Baseball Team believing in each other and the non stop support they showed as a team. The Sectional game is Wednesday at 7 pm at Milikin University vs Monticello. Come on out to support your Westville Tigers.
Today, May 17th (Fri), the Westville Tigers Baseball Team defeated Paxton 16-1 in just 4 innings and will now play tomorrow (Sat) at 10 am at Unity High School vs Unity for a Regional Championship. The Tigers record is now 24-5-1. Pitcher Cameron Steinbaugh pitched 3 innings and struck out 6 for the win and this effort earned him the Defensive Player of the Game. Ben Johnson had a big day at the plate by going 1 for 2 with a 3 run Home Run and had a sacrifice Fly. In total, Ben had 4 RBIs and 2 Runs scored which earned him the Offensive Player of the Game. Great Job to the entire team for a 12 hit attack.
This is a great opportunity to get your school or sports physical for next school year.

Westville High School Girls Softball
We had 'Bring a Friend to Chorus Day' today! Lots of familiar faces! We sang a couple songs from this year and played the ever popular game from their grade school years-Chamber Key. Fun! We hope they join us next year!
Way to go Westville on a 4-3 victory over a good Casey-Westfield Baseball Team. Easton Barney put the Tigers ahead in the bottom of the 5th inning with a 2 out double that scored Wichtowski and Darling and gave the Tigers a 3-2 lead, that Westville would not lose. The Offensive Player of the Game was Cade Schaumburg who had 2 singles, a Run Scored and an RBI. On the defensive side, it was Cameron Steinbaugh, as he threw a complete game, allowing only 2 Earned Runs and striking out 5 in a gutsy performance.
Westville defeated a very good Mahomet Seymour team 5-2. The Tiger's Record is now 22-5-1 and just 2 games left before Regionals. Cade Schaumburg really battled this evening while pitching a complete game allowing 4 hits and only 2 earned runs. This effort earned him the Defensive Player of the Game. The defense was spectacular! Way to go gentleman. On the offensive side, Chance Quick had 3RBI's including a Walk and a Double and this effort earned Chance the Offensive Player of the Game. Thank-You La Salette Academy for cheering us on.

Congratulations today to the Lady Tigers for wrapping up their regular season with a win. 25-4 season record. Great way to end Senior Night with win and Senior Abby Sabalaskey threw a "perfect game". It was great team defense and pitching that allowed for that to happen. Awesome job ladies. Now we go and win regionals. 🧡🖤🥎
