Westville Jr. High will be having a parent meeting for 8th graders on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 6:00 PM. All 8th grade families are encouraged to attend. The meeting is about the Washington DC trip.
WJHS girls softball team picked up two more wins over the weekend at the Leroy Round Robin. In the first game vs. Cerro Gordo Lillian Pabst pick up the offensive player of the game with 2 hits and 2 RBI’s. Sophia Bays earned defensive player of the game for her stellar performance behind the plate. The girls won 17-2. In game number two vs. Leroy Kinley Barney received offensive player of the game for her pitching performance. She pitched 7 innings allowing 4 runs and striking out 8. The defensive player of the game was Denim Zaayer. Denim was 3 for 4 at the plate with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. They beat Leroy 6-4. The girls will travel to Milford on Wednesday for their next game.
Opening day for WJHS Softball ended with a win against Paris Mayo. Kinley Barney threw a complete game with 13 strikeouts making her the defensive player of the game. Lillian Pabst earned offensive player of the game with 3 hits and an RBI. Congratulations to both girls. The Lady Wildcats will be in action again on August 10th with a round robin in Leroy.
Westville Jr High 7th grade and new student orientation on Tuesday, August 13 6-8 PM. 8th graders may come in to check lockers on Wednesday, August 14 from 1-3. There will be an 8th grade parent meeting at WJHS on Wednesday, August 21 at 6:00 pm

7th grade and teachers had an amazing time in Springfield visiting Lincoln's Tomb, the Lincoln Museum, and the Lincoln home. Students made their teachers proud with their outstanding behavior!

Liam Hughes has won his first two rounds at the iesa state wrestling tournament. He will now wrestle in the semi finals tomorrow (3/9) at approximately 12:00. Keep up the great work Liam.

Yearbooks are now available to order at WJHS. Students were given order forms today and extra forms are in the office. Yearbooks are $15 if ordered by Feb 12th, after Feb 12th the price goes up to $20. No orders will be accepted after March 1st. 7th grade students are preparing for their upcoming U.S. Constitution Test. This week we will be working to complete our study guide. There are multiple study resources already posted in Google Classroom. The test is scheduled for Friday, February 2, 2024.
